Product Review- Sigg Water Bottle

Forget about your plain old boring water bottle, Sigg have recently brought out a new range of water bottles featuring designs that are a feast for the eyes. Offered in either 1L or 0.6L sizes, these bottles also boast features such as crack resistant, leach-proof, extreme durability, and resistant even to energy drinks and fruit juices! I decided to test these claims, and see whether these water bottles reach the standards Sigg boasted.

I bought the 1L Taj Mahal Violet Sigg bottle for £17, which seemed a little expensive for a water bottle. Yet so far it appears worth it, as after numerous clumsy drops and batterings there’s not even a scratch on the bottle. Furthermore it manages to keep my water cool for a surprisingly long period of time, and even in the sun the water didn’t turn warm. The bottle also met its leach-proof claim, as I have not yet had any issues with a metallic taste in my water. Not to mention, its resistance to sugary drinks also meant that my water didn’t retain a sugary aftertaste, a commonplace problem in my plastic bottles. The only downside to this bottle was after leaving some water in it for a couple of days the water bottle started to smell.

Overall, these Sigg bottles are excellent as long as you don’t mind paying the extra pounds. And with so many designs and colours to choose from, the only problem you’re going to have is deciding which one you want!
