Adventure Film Festival Kicks Off....

It’s that time of year again people! Adventure sports enthusiasts across England will soon be rushing to the cinemas to watch the annual Adventure Film Festival. Hailing from Canada, this festival features the most daring feats and projects amongst adventure sports athletes this past year in the surf, sky, forests, and snow.

Event: Newnham Park Mountain Bike Enduro


For those mountain bike enthusiasts out there, the Newnham Sixty is an event not to be missed. Beginning on Saturday the 25th to Sunday the 26th of September, this event covers trails of 60km and 30km, with live music and cyclo cross action events. Finish the course and you will even have a cream tea waiting for you at the finishing line! Those who don't wish to ride or are suffering injuries can still watch the final round of the British XC Series on Saturday, with some of the best British bikers competing for first place. Along with this, bike brands such as Trek, Santa Cruz and Genesis will be showcasing 2011 models and new equipement for people to try out for free.

Product Review: Vango Juno Teepee 500




With its fun prints and retro shape, the Juno Teepee was certain to be a favourite for festival-goers last summer. So popular in fact, that they continue to sell alongside their improved model, the Green Tee 500DLX. So it was without a doubt that when I went to 2000 Trees festival this past weekend my friends and I chose this tent first.

Ryanair Creating 'Standing' Seats

Earlier last week budget airline-carrier Ryanair announced they were considering plans to create standing seats on their aircraft, selling seats for as little as four pounds. Ryanair owner Michael O’Leary described the vertical seats as ‘barstools with seatbelts’, and was designed for those looking for a bargain.

News- Florida Tourism Affected by Oil Spill-Despite no Oil on the Shores


Figures from Florida’s Panhandle hotels and businesses reported over a fifty percent drop in business, despite this being their busiest season. With the media frenzy of the oil spill reaching international heights, many holidaymakers are cancelling their reservations in fear the oil has reached the shores, or may do so during their holiday.

Product Review- Sigg Water Bottle


Forget about your plain old boring water bottle, Sigg have recently brought out a new range of water bottles featuring designs that are a feast for the eyes. Offered in either 1L or 0.6L sizes, these bottles also boast features such as crack resistant, leach-proof, extreme durability, and resistant even to energy drinks and fruit juices! I decided to test these claims, and see whether these water bottles reach the standards Sigg boasted.
